Corrosion Inhibitors
Corrosion is the damage to metal surfaces because of severe environmental conditions. Corrosion affects almost all types of metals. Rust is a specific type of corrosion which is caused by the oxidation of metals containing iron.
Rhein Chemie corrosion inhibitors are used in lubricants and form a protective film by chemical reaction with, and/or formation of polar compounds on the metal surface. Metal deactivators are a special type of corrosion inhibitor which form a passivating protective film, particularly on non-ferrous metals.
